Priority Arts and Crafts Show, RULES AND REGULATIONS
I. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: All individuals who design original artwork, fine art work or fine crafts with the intent to sell at the Priority Arts and Crafts show are eligible. Only artwork and handcrafted items made by the exhibitor are accepted and must be listed at the time of the application. The exhibitor must be present during the show.
II. GENERAL RULES: A. Permitted items for sale in Priority Arts and Crafts Show: Fine artwork and fine crafts are eligible. NO KITS, NO BUY/SELL ITEMS, FLEA MARKET ITEMS, IMPORTS OR COMMERCIAL DEALERS ALLOWED IN THE Priority Arts and Crafts Shows.
B. Artists are only permitted to sell the items that the committee has approved for sale.
C. JEWELRY POLICY; Majority of each piece must be hand-tooled. Using cast and beaded elements is allowed, but artist must hand make prototype for casting. Each piece must be finished and assembled exclusively by the applicant. Finishing is more than simply attaching cast piece/beads to wire or chain.
D. HOLD HARMLESS CLAUSE: All participating exhibitors agree to WAIVE, DISCHARGE CLAIMS, AND RELEASE FROM LIABILITY the Priority Arts and Crafts Show, the city of Gretna and Gretna Economic development Association and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and volunteers from any and all liability on account of, or in any way resulting from injuries and damages, even if caused by negligence of the Priority Arts and Crafts Show officers, directors, employees, agents, and volunteers, in any way connected with the Priority Arts and Crafts Show.
E. RENT; All applicants approved to sell art and/or fine crafts are required to pay rent for the space that they use. This rent shall be paid to Monique N. Williams. Fees for each show must be received one week before the scheduled show date. All artists will be notified at least one week after application is submitted if they are accepted into that show. Sending in your check and application is not a confirmation that you are accepted into the Priority Arts and Crafts Show. We have to review your hand made product first. Rent for each 10 x 10 space is $40.00 per show. Payments are excepted by mail at PO Box 1801 Harvey, LA 70059 or by online Paypal (You do not need a Paypal Account to submit the payment and Paypal is the safe way to submit your payment) We are not responsible for lost payment sent via mail. Emergency cancellations must be called in no later than then 2 days before the event.
F. LOCATION; The Priority Arts and Crafts Show is held December 19, 2015 .
G. SET UP AND CLEAN UP; Set-up of the market may begin at 7:00 a.m. All artists must move their cars once they have unloaded. No parking by participants is allowed on the neutral ground-side in front the church – no exceptions! This parking is for the customers. Artists will not be allowed to tear down and/or leave early and must stay until the end of the market.
H. NO SHOW is a forfeit of booth fee and possibility of not being allowed into future shows.
I. BOOTH ASSIGNMENTS will be given out the morning of the event. The Priority Arts and Crafts Show Committee reserves the right to cancel the approval of any artist’s application at any time, if and when the Committee finds said artist in violation of any of the aforementioned guidelines and eligibility requirements, or if the show Coordinator or committee feels the artist’s presence undermines the smooth operation of the event.
NOTE: The Jefferson Parish tax collector brings tax forms each month! You must fill out the form each month that you participate. Thank you for your interest in the Priority Arts and Crafts Show!
